We are looking for a talented sales professional to join us as a Sales Executive to cover the China market.

The role will promote our products and solutions to academics in Higher Education Institutions to maximise revenue and achieve agreed annual sales goal, through all appropriate channels.


Key Results Areas:

  • To visit key HEIs within the territory to promote all relevant products and solutions in digital and print formats
  • Arrange and prepare presentations to key faculty decision makers across all levels and relevant departments of HEIs
  • To close key adoptions focusing on new business opportunities with a particular emphasis on direct and institutional sales and embedding digital content products in institutions
  • To roll over existing print adoptions and recommendations and identify opportunities to convert them to institutional e-textbook adoptions
  • To visit campus booksellers and other retail outlets
  • Identify significant new business and adoption opportunities and plan strategies and tactics to win the business
  • Accurately and regularly input account information, activity and new contact details into CRM database
  • Achieve required daily and weekly call rates
  • Communicate effectively with the GC Sales Manager on territory activities, key issues or opportunities and competition, through comprehensive and timely monthly reports
  • Manage T&E costs effectively by timely planning of travel and cost effective use of time on customer visits
  • To attend monthly and annual sales meetings and conferences in the APAC region

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record of sales success in the academic publishing industry and/or selling digital and print products with a minimum 3 years of field sales experience
  • Ability to give product demonstrations to customers
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and well organised individual with good time management and planning skills
  • Strong IT proficiency – Strong Microsoft Office, CRM and database skills
  • Degree educated (or equivalent), major in medical related subjects highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good English skills in reading and writing.
